The 6th U.S.-China Health Summit, themed “Health for All through Innovation”,  will be held on September 2-4, 2016 in Xi’an, China.

The summit, inaugurated at Harvard University in 2011, started with twin keynote addresses on healthcare reform by the former Minister of Health, Member of Academy, Zhu Chen and Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, SherryGlied. Subsequently, the summit was held alternately in China and the U.S. every year and was endorsed by China National Health and Family Planning Commission, the U.S. Department of Human and Health Services, Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health, and Peking Union Medical College. The previous summits have covered a wide range of themes, including healthcare reforms in China and the U.S., government regulation, market competition and professionalism, preventive medicine and public health, and cutting-edge medical technology. In previous years, policymakers, academic experts, and business leaders in the U.S., China, and all other individuals who share a keen interest in the rapidly transforming global health sector, have all benefited tremendously from these direct dialogues and discussions. 

The 6th U.S.-China Health Summit will provide a high-level platform for exchanges of knowledge, ideas, and experiences of healthcare leaders from both the U.S. and China. During the very first year of China’s "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", this summit will be committed to the goal of ‘Healthy China’ and focus on innovative healthcare deliver models, cutting edge medical and health technology, precision and holistic medicine, hospital CEOs and physician crossfire forum, stroke prevention and control, healthy city for all ages, innovation competition and investment forum, etc.
