Shaanxi Guesthouse, also known as Shaanxi Zhangbagou Guesthouse, has beenhonoured asthe ‘Shaanxi Diaoyutai’. The guesthouse is located in Zhangbagou, south of Xi’an city. It sits at the center of Xi’an Hi-Tech Development Zone besides the High-tech District CBD. Adjoining to the business center and being only 30 minutes’ car-drive from the airport, the guesthouse enjoys a splendid geographical location and a convenient transportation. Shaanxi Guesthouse is a garden-style State Guesthouse for retreat and large conferences. In July 2006, Shaanxi Guesthouse was awarded the 5A China Green Hotel by the China Hotel Association.
The Guesthouse covers an area of 750,000 square meters including 330,000 square meters’ building area and 54,000 square meters; lake area with green rate more than 70%. Shaanxi Guesthouse provides well-equipped facilities, attentive service, and beautiful environment. The Guesthouse incorporates both the grandness of Northern China and the elegance of the South, and attracts guests all over the world.
Shaanxi Guesthouse owns 2000 different types of guest rooms and 13 dining rooms, which are able to accommodate 5000 people at the same time. It has banquet halls for reception of large conferences, group activities, weddings and rooms for VIPs, etc. There are more than 100 well-equipped halls for various purposes. The halls are equipped with advanced acoustics, amplification system, recording system, projector, multimedia demonstration, video conference system, simultaneous interpretation system etc., which can meet the needs of conferences with all kinds of purposes. Moreover, the Recreation and Fitness Center of the Guesthouse includes indoor swimming pool, chess and card room, gym, KTV, SPA, tennis stadium with national standard, shopping center, beauty salon, etc. It is the perfect place to hold international conferences.
Shaanxi Guesthouse has received over 100 political leaders from more than 50 countries and enjoys a high reputation both domestically and internationally. Its Building No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are villa-style buildings that were built in 1958. Many Chinese Party and State leaders and foreign dignitaries such as Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao etc., were received in Building No.1. These luxury buildings are elegantly decorated and equipped with advanced facilities such as automatic temperature control system, water processing system, security and surveillance systems and so on.
Later in 1964, Building No. 7, 8, 9 were built and they have received Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai, Chairman Zhu De and other Chinese Party and state leaders. The inner layout of these buildings is dignified and elegant with spacious and bright banquet halls. They are open to guests all around the world.
The Euro-Asia Economic Forum (2011) was held in Xi'an on September 22th - 24th, 2011. As the main reception organization, Shaanxi Guesthouse has successfully received hundreds of guests from all over the world, including former Kazakhstan Prime Minister Tereshchenko, Armenian Deputy Speaker Bala-Thani Yang, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Yoshiharu, Kyrgyz Deputy Speaker Mamei Petrova, Mongolian former Prime Minister Lynch Ni Amr·Amar Bazar Grenoble, Nepal former Prime Minister Bista, Mongolian former President Ochirbat, Moldova vice Premier Moldovan, and Tajikistan Deputy Speaker Lee Larry Jef · Ami Shou. During that period, the Guesthouse has also received Li Changchun, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
